College Football: South Alabama Jaguars @ Georgia State Panthers at 7:30 pm (ET) on ESPN2
Georgia State is at the bottom of the Sun Belt standings, but it’s not QB Cameran Brown’s fault. The junior from Warner Robins seems to have finally wrestled away the starting job from the well-traveled TJ Finley. In a mixture of backup and starting duties, Brown has thrown 8 TDs and 0 INTs. Unfortunately, the Panthers’ defense has allowed an FBS-worst 41.1 points per game. However, South Alabama is another Sun Belt basement dweller, so this might be the best chance Brown has to lead Georgia State to a victory for the rest of the season.

World Series: Los Angeles Dodgers @ Toronto Blue Jays at 8:00 pm (ET) on Fox
Holy shit, what a ride it’s been to get here. The Dodgers swept the Brewers thanks to Shohei Ohtani delivering the most impressive statistical performance in MLB history as he struck out 10 over 6 innings and hit 3 home runs. This man had more home runs than hits allowed. Absurd.
They take on a Blue Jays team that survived a 7-game battle with the Seattle Mariners that culminated in a George Springer 3-run homer in the 7th that ended up being the series clincher. Toronto hasn’t been to the World Series since Joe Carter’s walkoff HR made the repeat champs in 1993. Can they stop the Dodgers’ own repeat hopes?

College Football: #8 Ole Miss Rebels @ #13 Oklahoma Sooners at 12:00 pm (ET) on ABC
Not many college football coaches would share a shirtless picture of themselves between two women after finishing up a yoga class the morning before they had a top-10 matchup, but not many football coaches are like Lane Kiffin. In the funniest outcome possible, Lane’s Rebels lost to Georgia. Kiffin made a joke about Bulldogs coach Kirby Smart’s weight earlier in the week, so Smart returned the favor after the game by thanking Lane for hot yoga tickets. Sooners coach Brent Venables has his own unique workout routine that makes me think a little yoga might do him some good, honestly.
College Football: Florida Atlantic Owls @ Navy Midshipmen at 3:30 pm (ET) on CBSSN
Lane’s old team is taking on Navy. The Midshipmen are still unranked despite being 6-0. Rank them!
World Series: Los Angeles Dodgers @ Toronto Blue Jays at 8:00 pm (ET) on Fox
Game 2! As a Dodgers fan, my concern all season has been the bullpen. The Blue Jays’ uncanny propensity for late-game comebacks has not helped this. I will have heartburn. Join me!
College Football: #1 North Dakota State Bison @ #2 South Dakota State Jackrabbits at 8:00 pm (ET) on ESPNU
I try to avoid highlighting games that are on at the same time, but we simply cannot pass up the World Series and this matchup between the top 2 teams in FCS, who also happen to be Dakota rivals. They have split the last 4 FCS championships. Remind me to tap back in come playoff time!

LALIGA Soccer: Barcelona @ Real Madrid at 11:15 am (ET) on ESPN2
The North Dakota State-South Dakota State of Spanish soccer. You already know that Kylian Mbappé is must-watch TV. Real Madrid is 2nd in LALIGA in goals scored. Kylian has half of them. Barcelona features a much more balanced attack as they lead LALIGA in both goals scored and assists. A win here would let them overtake Real Madrid for 1st place in the standings.
Women’s International Soccer Friendly: Portugal @ United States at 4:00 pm (ET) on TNT
Let’s make it a fútbol Sunday. A good chance to see what a team without Trinity Rodman will look like, as she suffered yet another injury. Recently retired goalkeeper Alyssa Naeher will be honored before this one, so tune in early if you’re interested in seeing that.
NFL: Green Bay Packers @ Pittsburgh Steelers at 8:20 pm (ET) on NBC
Unfortunately, Aaron Rodgers has been good with the Steelers so far. Mike Tomlin is just too skilled at handling the worst personalities that the league has to offer. This is Rodgers’ first game against the Packers, where he spent his first 18 seasons before forcing his way out in a huff. Green Bay coach Matt LaFleur says that shouldn’t be the story of this game, but he’s wrong. The NFL scheduling folks fumbled this one because it should have been in Green Bay. It’ll be interesting nonetheless.

World Series: Toronto Blue Jays @ Los Angeles Dodgers at 8:00 pm (ET) on Fox
They head to LA for game 3. I was flounder gigging with my dear friend and Nameless College Football Show co-host P.D. during game 1 of last year’s World Series. When we got back to the boathouse, I put the game on the radio right as this happened. I thought I was listening to a replay from earlier in the season for way longer than I care to admit. Also, we (mostly P.D.) caught a ton of fish!
Horror Movie of the Week: Don’t Breathe (2016)
Turns out you don’t necessarily need demons or evil spirits to have a scary movie! Humans are scary enough! Three young criminals with a fondness for breaking into homes devise a plan to take their game to the next level. The target: a blind Gulf War vet. Hold on, that’s not even the worst part. They pick him after finding out that he has $300,000 cash in his home. Where’d he get the money? A settlement after his only daughter was killed in a car accident. Yeah.
Despite the home seemingly being a fortress complete with bars on the windows, a security system, and a rottweiler that’s considerably less friendly than my dog, Kobe, our trio is confident that they can pull this off. However, they’re even more blind than their target, because there’s more to this house than the eye can see. HAHAHAHA! Every moment has tension; it’s infinitely more realistic than your average horror movie, and the story just gets darker and darker with seemingly no end in sight. HAHAHAHA! Okay, that’s my last written laugh track. Seriously, go watch this. It’s on Tubi.

World Series: Toronto Blue Jays @ Los Angeles Dodgers at 8:00 pm (ET) on Fox
Whenever the Dodgers win, there’s always talk about how the organization is ruining baseball by spending big on players. I’d like to point out that the Blue Jays have the 5th highest payroll this season, so it’s not like they’re starting Willie Mays Hayes. Also, the teams you should be mad at are the cheap ass ones at the bottom of the list. They have money, but they choose not to spend it because they hate you. Special thanks to Brett for pointing this out.
NBA: Los Angeles Clippers @ Golden State Warriors at 11:00 pm (ET) on NBC
It’s time to turn on Kawhi Leonard. Can you imagine anybody else having his career and being met with a general indifference from the basketball public? He feuded with the classiest organization in the league, the San Antonio Spurs, forcing a trade. He left Toronto after leading them to a championship to go home instead of running it back. He strong-armed the Clippers into trading away a future league MVP and champion in Shai Gilgeous-Alexander because he wanted to play with PAUL MOTHERFUCKIN’ GEORGE! In his time with the Clippers, he’s missed one entire season and averaged 53 games played in the other 5. Don’t forget they blew a 3-1 lead to the Nuggets in the Bubble! And finally, it comes out that he only signed with the Clippers after they apparently circumvented the NBA salary cap by putting together a sham of a marketing deal! Fuck this guy.

World Series: Toronto Blue Jays @ Los Angeles Dodgers at 8:00 pm (ET) on Fox
Remember when we thought Shohei was on a plane to sign with the Blue Jays, but it was really that one guy from Shark Tank? Absolutely brutal. Kudos to them for recovering from that.
NBA: Los Angeles Lakers @ Minnesota Timberwolves at 9:30 pm (ET) on ESPN
Big shock: Rob Pelinka was the last person in the world to realize that Deandre Ayton stinks. I will be ranting about this all season. In slightly confusing news, Anthony Edwards held an awards show for reasons I’m still not entirely clear on. He gave the inaugural Believe That Legacy Award to actress Mara Wilson, who played Matilda in Matilda. Turns out, that’s Ant’s favorite movie ever. I’d pay to see Miss Trunchbull treat Deandre Ayton like the pigtail girl.
As always, thank you for reading! Make sure you’re subscribed so you get this in your inbox first thing Thursday mornings! Also, share with your friends! See you next week!
