  • Women’s College World Series: Texas Longhorns vs. Texas Tech Red Raiders at 8:00 pm (ET) on ESPN

Game 2 in the best-of-3 series to crown softball’s national champion, so this could be it. The Red Raiders miraculously stopped Oklahoma’s quest for a 5th straight national title. This is head coach Gerry Glasco’s first season at the helm for Texas Tech. He wasted no time in swinging for the fences, making former Stanford star pitcher NiJaree Canady the first $1 million college softball player. Canady led the nation in ERA for the 3rd consecutive season, and has thrown every single pitch for the Red Raiders in the WCWS. They take on a Texas team that’s been runner-up 2 of the past 3 seasons.

  • NBA Finals: Indiana Pacers @ Oklahoma City Thunder at 8:30 pm (ET) on ABC

What an absolute wackadoo playoffs this has been. When was the last time the on-court product felt this captivating? We’ve had buzzer beaters, comebacks, blowouts, upsets, oh my! Now, we gear up to see two franchises that have historically been stepping stones for other champions face off to win one of their own. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander looks to become the 15th NBA player ever to win MVP and a championship in the same season. Even more rare, Tyrese Haliburton could become the first NBA player to win a ring during the same postseason that his dad served a suspension for shit talking.

  • WNBA: Atlanta Dream @ Connecticut Sun at 7:30 pm (ET) on ION

A year later than we thought, but it appears that the Dream have arrived. Despite injuries and hiccups adjusting to new coach Karl Smesko’s 3-point-loving offense, Atlanta is already a third of the way to last season’s win total. A big reason why? Allisha Gray. One of the WNBA’s better two-way players for some time now, the former Gamecock is putting up career-high numbers across the board in her 9th season. It’s early, but she is firmly in the MVP conversation.

  • Women’s College World Series: Texas Longhorns vs. Texas Tech Red Raiders at 8:00 pm (ET) on ESPN

The deciding game, if they need it.

  • Women’s Tennis: French Open Singles Championship at 9:00 am (ET) on TNT

The semifinals still need to be played, but Iga Swiatek is in them and damn near unstoppable at Roland-Garros. She’s won 4 of these overall, including the last 3. Another win puts her in sole possession of the 3rd-most French Open singles’ titles in the Open Era behind Steffi Graf (6) and Chris Evert (7), and makes her the first woman to four-peat.

  • NWSL: Kansas City Current @ Gotham FC at 1:00 pm (ET) on CBS

You know a Brazilian soccer player is legit when they’re known by one name. Kansas City goalkeeper Lorena simply doesn’t let the other team put the ball in the back of the net. Her league-best 0.7 goals against average is a big reason why Kansas City finds itself atop the NWSL table through 10 games so far. She signed with the Current last offseason after leading her home country to a silver medal in the 2024 Olympics.

  • WNBA: Indiana Fever @ Chicago Sky at 8:00 pm (ET) on CBS

Fever star Caitlin Clark is still out with an injury, so this has the potential to be the least controversial matchup between these 2 for the next decade or so. Enjoy!

  • Men’s Tennis: French Open Singles Championship at 9:00 am (ET) on TNT

Spain has absolutely dominated the men’s side of this Grand Slam with 21 titles in the Open Era. The bulk of those were won by clay court master Rafael Nadal, whose 14 championships put him 5 ahead of the country with the second-most wins, Sweden. His countryman, Carlos Alcaraz, looks to repeat as champion while also cementing himself as the next face of men’s tennis.

  • MLB: Boston Red Sox @ New York Yankees at 7:00 pm (ET) on ESPN

The older I get, the more I realize how truly insane this rivalry was in the early to mid-2000s. It’d be like if the Dodgers and Padres hated each other as much as Dodgers fans hate the Padres, the Padres had household names playing for them, and San Diego had a geriatric gerbil of a coach get suplexed by Shohei. It’s not quite like that right now, but the great thing about a rivalry is you never know when it’s going to turn back up.

  • NBA Finals: Indiana Pacers @ Oklahoma City Thunder at 8:30 pm (ET) on ABC

Game 2!

  • MLB: Miami Marlins @ Pittsburgh Pirates at 6:40 pm (ET) on FS1

Pirates ace Paul Skenes has been lights out from the moment he was called up last season. Nobody cares less than Skenes himself. Not just about baseball, but everything. He’s the personification of a yawn who speaks as though you have just woken him up from a Benedryl slumber. It’s a jarring contrast to how electric he is on the mound. He seems as destined as a Yankee to bore us to death at some point.

  • Men’s International Soccer Friendly: Switzerland vs. USMNT at 8:00 pm (ET) on TNT

It’s been a while since we checked to see how the USMNT was doing after their sluggish start under new coach Mauricio Pochettino. This is the last tune-up before the Concacaf Gold Cup starts, and more importantly, a year and a day away from the start of the 2026 FIFA Men’s World Cup.

  • NBA Finals: Oklahoma City Thunder @ Indiana Pacers at 8:30 pm (ET) on ABC

The first NBA Finals game hosted by the Pacers in 25 years. Kenan & Kel had just ended. 106 & Park had yet to debut. Welcome back, Hoosier State!
