Wimbledon, UEFA Women Euros, and a LeBron James-Cooper Flagg showdown!
Welcome to Screen Shots! This is where I tell you what sporting events you should watch on TV every week! Make sure you subscribe so it comes straight to your inbox! Have your own suggestions? Shoot me an email at [email protected]!
Danny Foxworth came through to talk about his Thunder winning the NBA title! We also talked about how a Moncks Corner native started pulling for a team in Seattle in the first place, how he handled the franchise’s move to Oklahoma City, and how it feels to be a fan of the team everyone will be gunning for next season!
Now, to the sports!

Wimbledon: Women’s Singles Semifinals at 8:30 am (ET) on ESPN
If you watched the preview I did with KP, you were prepared for a chaotic women’s draw. However, even analysts as wise and charismatic as we are couldn’t have predicted 3 of the top 8 seeds falling in round 1. The final four features some familiar faces, with #1 seed Aryna Sabalenka taking on American Amanda Anisimova and 5-time Grand Slam winner Iga Swiatek squaring off against Belinda Bencic. But, as we have learned, being a favorite is not a guarantee. Tap in to see who will play for the title!
Wimbledon: Mixed Doubles Finals at 1:00 pm (ET) on ESPN
False advertising, as they’re all white, but should be fun to watch nonetheless!
NBA Summer League: Dallas Mavericks vs. Los Angeles Lakers at 8:00 pm (ET) on ESPN
Welcome to the future that Nico Harrison is trying to convince us that he envisioned when he traded away Luka! #1 overall pick Cooper Flagg makes his summer league debut against a LeBron James plus several other guys who could end up carrying Luka’s bags this season.

Wimbledon: Men’s Singles Semifinals at 8:00 am (ET) on ESPN
Even if you’re just a casual fan, you’re going to recognize these names. Top-seed Janik Sinner takes on the legendary Novak Djokovic. The Joker needs one more singles title to tie Roger Federer for the most at Wimbledon (8). The other matchup features legend-in-the-making Carlos Alcaraz against American Tommy Fritz. Alcaraz has won the last 2 Wimbledons.
Women’s International Soccer: Italy vs. Spain at 3:00 pm (ET) on Fox
As expected, Spain dominated its first two UEFA Women’s EUROs matches and clinched a spot in the quarterfinals. Italy was all set to join them before giving up a late equalizer to Portugal. Based on points and goal differential, the Italian women should still move on, but they cannot afford to fuck around. They’ll need goals, which means you should keep your eye on striker Cristiana Girelli.
Speaking of European things people need, you need to head over to turnthepaigetravel.com! They’re currently running a deal where you get $200 off select 2025 Globus Europe Itineraries. Support my sponsors, or I’ll have to start an OnlyFans, and I’m not really in that kind of shape right now, if we’re being honest.

Wimbledon: Men’s Doubles Final at 8:00 am (ET) on ESPN
British pair Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool are in the semis. Bout to be blasting Venga Boys in there if they end up playing for the title!
Wimbledon: Women’s Singles Final at 11:00 am (ET) on ESPN
What a blessing to be alive during the Williams sisters’ reign over this Grand Slam. They combined to win 12 titles over a 17-year period. No country has won more than 8 in the Open Era (other than the United States, of course). Even crazier, we are currently awaiting our 8th different champion since Serena last won in 2017. This is looking a lot like the post-LeBron NBA.
Women’s International Soccer: Sweden vs. Germany at 3:00 pm (ET) on Fox
Both teams will advance to the quarterfinals, but we don’t know which one will take the top seed out of Group C. Earlier in the tournament, Kosovare Asllani became the 3rd Swedish woman to make 200 national team appearances. She followed that up with a goal and an assist against Poland. Still got it!

Wimbledon: Women’s Doubles Final at 8:00 am (ET) on ESPN
It would be ideal for all of us if American Taylor Townsend found herself here. She and partner Katerina Siniakova won it all last year, and also took home this year’s Australian Open crown.
Wimbledon: Men’s Singles Final at 11:00 am (ET) on ESPN
The past 2 finals have been Alcaraz-Djokovic, with the youngster taking home the crown. Can we go 3 for 3?
WNBA: Dallas Wings @ Indiana Fever at 1:00 pm (ET) on ABC
Assuming there are no injury setbacks on either side, this will be the long-awaited first professional showdown between Paige Bueckers and Caitlin Clark. The last time they played, a moving screen call that damn near killed Geno allowed Clark’s Iowa squad to prevail. However, Bueckers capped her collegiate career with a national title and has been better through her 1st 15 games than Clark was last year. How will Christine Brennan manage to make this about herself? Tune in to see!
Women’s International Soccer: England vs. Wales at 3:00 pm (ET) on FS1
The Backyard Brawl of women’s soccer!
MLB: Amateur Draft at 6:00 pm (ET) on ESPN
I commend MLB for finally realizing that we love watching drafts and incorporating them into its All-Star Weekend. The dynamics are a bit different from other sports drafts we’re used to watching since we most likely won’t see these guys again for a couple of years, if at all. However, it makes up for that with its “remember that guy?” factor, as by my estimations, about 90% of these prospects are the sons of former major leaguers.

MLB: Home Run Derby at 8:00 pm (ET) on ESPN
Do I know the format they use for this in any given year? No. Will the camera work leave you with vertigo? Yes. Is it awesome anyway? Absolutely.
Tuesday, July 15th, 2025
MLB: All-Star Game at 8:00 pm (ET) on Fox
Other professional all-star games are an awful viewing experience because the players simply don’t try. Could you imagine how ridiculous that would look in baseball? For those of you who can’t, Manny Machado will be starting at 3rd for the National League.

Women’s International Soccer: Norway vs. Group B Runner-up at 3:00 pm (ET) on Fox
Norway finished atop Group A, but never really looked dominant. Assuming Italy advances, they’ll almost certainly be the underdog here. However, they’ve definitely made progress after a dismal 2022 performance that included an 8-0 loss to England and a group stage exit. Can they put it together and keep moving forward?
WNBA: Indiana Fever @ New York Liberty at 7:30 pm (ET) on CBSSN
The last game before the All-Star break!
