Unrivaled, Ivy League Hoops, and KD in OKC!

Insert Joke Here
Welcome to Screen Shots! This is where I tell you what sporting events you should watch on TV every week! Make sure you subscribe so it comes straight to your inbox! Have your own suggestions? Shoot me an email at [email protected]!
Really cool episode this week as former NBA center David Harrison joined me to talk about the lack of post play in today’s NBA and how that might be affecting fan interest. We also talked about David’s own life and career. I’m hoping to have him back on to go more in-depth on that because he’s a super interesting guy!
Now, to the sports!

Men’s College Basketball: Stony Brook Seawolves @ College of Charleston Cougars at 6:00 pm (ET) on CBSSN
A little CAA men’s hoops action featuring my hometown team! The Cougars are tied for 2nd in the conference as they try to make their 3rd straight NCAA Tournament appearance. Tune in to see how loud they get on George Street!
Women’s College Basketball: #22 Alabama Crimson Tide @ #12 Kentucky Wildcats at 7:00 pm (ET) on SEC Network
The Crimson Tide just lost a tough one to Vandy despite a monster game from Sarah Ashlee Barker. Kentucky is off to a great start in conference play in coach Kenny Brooks’ 1st season at the helm, but their toughest matchups are still to come. For more on both teams, check out this SEC check-in I just did with Lo Dreher:

Men’s College Basketball: Yale Bulldogs @ Princeton Tigers at 5:00 pm (ET) on ESPN2
The top 2 teams in the Ivy League face off for your viewing pleasure. One of these teams has represented the conference in the last 4 NCAA Tournaments, so start familiarizing yourself with their stars. The Bulldogs are led by the leading scorer in the Ivy League, John Poulakidas. He’s a knockdown 3-point shooter who can get hot in a hurry. Earlier this season, Xaivian Lee helped lead the Tigers to an upset win over a Rutgers team that has 2 potential Top-5 draft picks. This should be a close one!
Women’s College Basketball: Columbia Lions @ Harvard Crimson at 7:00 pm (ET) on ESPNU
Harvard star Harmoni Turner just tweeted about the Ivy League needing more viewership, which is a great excuse for me to rant about something that has been bothering me for quite some time now. Women’s mid-major basketball games aren’t nearly as accessible as their male counterparts. Every week I try to bring you the most interesting sporting events to watch on TV. There are plenty of women’s basketball games I would love to include, but they are either not televised or require some bullshit subscription. It’s driving me crazy and robbing us of the chance to see players like Turner, who gave Boston College 41 and 10 earlier this season. Somebody do something!
Unrivaled Women’s Basketball: Laces vs. Lunar Owls at 8:15 pm (ET) on TNT
You didn’t think I forgot about Unrivaled Fridays, did you? The only remaining undefeated teams face off! Can Napheesa Collier stay on a tear for the Lunar Owls? Or will her WNBA teammate Kayla McBride continue her own hot streak for the Laces?

Women’s College Basketball: #24 Oklahoma State Cowgirls @ #21 West Virginia Mountaineers at 12:00 pm (ET) on ESPNU
I’ve done a poor job of highlighting Big 12 women’s games, but this one should make up for that. The Mountaineers have one of the best defenses in the country. Can they slow down Oklahoma State’s Stailee Heard, who is coming off a 34-point performance in a win over Texas Tech? Both teams are right behind TCU and Kansas State in the conference standings.
Men’s College Basketball: North Carolina Tar Heels @ #2 Duke Blue Devils at 6:30 pm (ET) on ESPN
It doesn’t quite have the same buzz as it used to have, but it’s still North Carolina and Duke. Teams always leave it all on the court for rivalry games like this, but hopefully, Duke players don’t take that quite as literally as they did last game.
NBA: Los Angeles Lakers @ New York Knicks at 8:00 pm (ET) on ABC
No matter who is playing, the primetime Saturday night national TV NBA game is a thing of beauty. However, it’s important to note that this one features LeBron at Madison Square Garden.
Sunday, February 2nd, 2025
NBA: Memphis Grizzlies @ Milwaukee Bucks at 8:30 pm (ET) on ESPN
With all of the injuries and drama they have dealt with the past couple of seasons, it’s easy to forget that Memphis is extremely talented. They are currently 3rd in the Western Conference thanks in large part to having the highest-scoring offense in the NBA. What’s even scarier for the rest of the league is that they are doing this despite Ja Morant not quite looking like his old self yet. It’s hard to gauge their ceiling, but they’re good again!
Monday, February 3rd, 2025
Women’s College Basketball: #10 Duke Blue Devils @ #17 NC State Wolfpack at 7:00 pm (ET) on ESPN2
Duke has yet to let an ACC foe score 60 points this season. The Wolfpack have scored at least 71 points in every ACC game they’ve played this year. One of these things has to give. Which one?
Tuesday, February 4th, 2025
Men’s College Basketball: #9 Marquette Golden Eagles @ #15 St. John’s Red Storm at 6:30 pm (ET) on FS1
How in the hell does Rick Pitino keep doing this?!?
Wednesday, February 5th, 2025
NBA: Phoenix Suns @ Oklahoma City Thunder at 9:30 pm (ET) on ESPN
How many of you still associate Kevin Durant with the Thunder? Can you believe he left them over 8 years ago now? Even crazier, the current iteration of Oklahoma City might be better than any of the Durant Thunder teams. This is far enough away that the Suns might have finally acquired Jimmy Butler by tipoff!
As always, I appreciate you reading! It’d be super cool if you subscribed and shared it with your friends. See you next week!
